Nearly 20-years after her hit success with 1993's Fumbling Toward Ecstacy, Sarah McLaughlin closed out Lilith Fair 2010 with a graceful touch, including a duet with Emmylou Harris and the festival's ubiquitously lovely light.
Photographer's Notes:
Following acts like Mary J. Blige and Metric, Sarah McLaughlin put on a great shot, and it was an easy, relaxing way to close out Lilith Fair 2010 after a day of great acts and fantastic lighting.

I shot the majority of McLaughlin's set with the new Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8, which did a great job handling some of the tricky contrasts of the third song, when bright backlights came up. The Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 was key for wider shots, but the monitors and music stands surrounding McLaughlin blocked a bit too much to employ the lens too much while the singer was at the mic-stand.
