I couldn't think of a better way to start off Lilith Fair than with indie-rock darlings Metric. However, what really surprised me was the fantastic lighting treatment the band received, which turned out to be just a preview of the great production at Lilith.

Metric put on a killer show. And even better, they had the lighting to match, with nice blasts of back and side-lighting throughout the three song press were allotted to photograph.
At the center of attention was frontwoman Emily Haines, who was a fantastic subject – plenty of movement, great poses, and even some time at the very front of the stage.
