When photographing hip hop concerts in club venues, I often feel as though it's anyone's guess as to the production, which can add just the right about of anticipation. Such was the case for Childish Gambino's sold out performance at the Pageant.

This show was a great assignment. For one, there was a massive energy in the room as soon as Childish Gambino took the stage. Between Gambino's stage performance and the sold out crowd going mental, there was plenty to photograph.
In fact, the crowd was one of the surprises for this show due to their involvement in the show. It honestly felt like a heavy metal show at some points, the crowd was so rowdily involved in Gambino's show.
