I just got from shooting this show and I'm putting my edit on hold to post this – and simply put, sometimes there are images that just can't wait.

The reason I'm so pleased with this shot is because Dave King hoisted his beer into the air in a fluid motion, and this shot has the can perfectly eclipsing the stage light behind it. An inch or two one way or the other, and that white light would have been pointing directly into the lens washing out King's hand to obscurity and killing contrast over the entire frame.
Of couse, I only wish that I could take credit for this shot – so quick was the movement that all I could do was react; the perfect placement of the can is luck.
