Trivium closed down the Jägermeister stage at Mayhem Fest. At one point about halfway through their performance, singer Matt Heafy paused to encouraged the audience to essentially do whatever they wanted to do to enjoy the show, whether it was relaxing or getting sweaty in the pit, in contrast to other bands of the day that demanded moshing in the intense, 100º heat. Heafy went on to suggest that if the fans want to relax and just chill, to chill hard.
While this wasn't the kind of macho attitude most other bands took, I think it shows a lot of respect by Trivium for their fans and their welfare during heatwave temperatures.
