It's amazing, but no matter how many times I've seen Motion City Soundtrack, they always seem to bring a tremendous amount of energy – whether they're play a club, a festival, at the start of a tour or the end.

This was just an ISO 6400 kind of performance. There was a fair amount of white backlighting for this show, but enough of a lack of frontlighting that this gig required high sensitivity, low shutter speeds, and fast lenses.

Everyone in Motion was actually set up relatively far back from the front of the stage, and I split use between the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 and the Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8. If I had only two lenses I could use for shows, these two would be the two-lens kit I'd choose.
