George Thorogood & The Destroyers. Yes, still bad to the bone over 25 years after their breakout success touring with the likes of The Rolling Stones . As one die-hard fan next to me commented before the show, “I'm here to see the pope. This is like being in church.”
Photographer's Notes:
Cameras Used:
- Nikon D3
- Nikon D700
Lenses Used:
- Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8
- Nikon 75-150mm f/2.8
You know, I have to say that there was some minor satisfaction using the manual focus Nikon 75-150mm f/3.5 Series E zoom for this show, considering that the budget Nikon lens was released around the same time of George Thorogood & The Destroyer's breakout bit, “Bad To The Bone.”
I was in with the crowd for this one and it was actually pretty cool to enjoy the energy of the fans right in the middle of them.
On a general gig note, it was pretty amazing to see Thorogood working the crowd like an absolute pro. Made for great shooting, even if there were a few heads in the way.
