Music Photography Workshop in Los Angeles

Last updated:

Ready to level up in music photography? In generous partnership with Nikon USA, I’m thrilled to announce a series of free photo workshops in Los Angeles August 8-9, 2024.

3 LA Workshop Sessions:

  • Thursday, August 8: 8am-12pm
  • Thursday, August 8: 1pm-5pm
  • Friday, August 9: 10am-2pm (filling up fast)

I’m so excited to be joined by dear friend Michelle G Hunder, Nikon Creator with Nikon Australia, as a special guest instructor. We’ll be teaching our approaches for photographing artists onstage and off, from studio portraits of musicians to live music performances, the business of music photography & more.

In these hands-on workshops, you’ll be photographing bands in both live music and portrait setups — all with opportunity to try the incredible new Nikon Z6III.

The Z6III is a powerhouse camera for music photography, with incredible low light performance, phenomenal AF tracking and robust subject detection for portraiture.

Whether you’re an aspiring photographer dreaming of working with bands or an passionate music shooter looking to get to the next level, these sessions will offer something for all experience levels. This workshop is also open to all — while there's the opportunity to use the new Nikon Z6III, this workshop is open to all photographers.

Education has always been close to my heart and I’m so grateful for this opportunity. Huge thanks to Nikon USA for their incredible support to make this workshop completely free to attendees and for championing education in our photography communities.

I'm so excited to hold these workshops at LA's The Ivory Space, which are a set of gorgeous studios in DTLA.
