It's 2:55am on Saturday morning and I've just finished the edit for The Drive-By Truckers' show at the Pageant tonight. Nothing much to say at this point except that it was an absolutely fantastic show. I'm not sure if it surpassed the band's legendary 2008 performance at the Pageant, but still – this one was epic.
Photographer's Notes:
Cameras Used:
- Nikon D3
Lenses Used:
Just a one image preview on this one, folks. 16mm on the Nikon D3 with the Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8.
Photos like the above are the reason why bands should allow full-set shooting access to photographers if they want the best possible images. This moment occurred when singer Patterson Hood kicked the encore up by taking to the front of the stage and sharing his Patron with the front row.
The Drive-By Truckers hold a special place in my heart, and this similar image from 2008 is one of the reasons why.
Needless to say, I had a blast at this show. The full set is coming shortly, just stay tuned.
