Opening for David Coook and Gavin DeGraw, Carolina Liar brought a poppy rock set to the Pageant at proved to be the perfect warm up for the crowd.

Lighting for Carolina Liar was not kind, but this band put on such a fun show, it's hard to complain. Lighting from the front was warm white, but due to Chad Wolf's hat this caused an issue with an even exposure. To get any detail in the singer's face meant a compromise in the exposure to blow out his guitar and hands – which I was just fine with doing.
I started this show off with the Nikon 50mm f/1.4 and 85mm f/1.4 primes, but switched to zooms halfway through the second song for more variety in the field of view.
