Arctic Monkeys rolled the Pageant in support of their third studio album, Humbug, with a display of dramatic uplighting and flare-up white lights from the sides and back of the stage.
Photographer's Notes:
Arctic Monkeys were a super quick shoot. Three songs, a little flashing light, and it was all over. Overall, stage treatments for Arctic Monkeys was mercurial at best, with variable lighting in several forms.
The most prominent during the first song were incandescent uplights, which flared up at intervals – just slow enough to be workable, but fast enough to be missed once they were gone.
Other short-duration lights included strobes and strong backlighting, which featured heavily in the second song. The third song gave a slight reprieve in more constancy – albeit of the red variety.
