Hard rockers Papa Roach attacked the stage following Sick Puppies to deliver a fiery performance for the packed out house of the Scottrade Center.
Photographer's Notes:
Papa Roach was great to photograph. With bright, white light on the band members, lots of activity on stage, and a big show from the back of the stage, there was a lot to like about this show.
All the band members at the front of the stage were generously lit by spot lights, so stage light for this show was not a problem. Keeping shutter speeds high was generally as easy as it was necessary, as the band was very active during the three songs I photographed.
For this performance, the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 and Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 were in heavy use. Due to the heavy movement by the band right at the front of the stage, the 70-200mm wasn't employed to any great degree.
Lead guitarist Jerry Horton in particular was a blast to shoot, with plenty hair whips and time rocking out at the edge of the stage.
