August 30, 2008 – In surprise appearance, the St. Lunatics stormed the stage at the Chaifetz Arena, making their first group performance together in eight years. At the center of the spotlights were Nelly and Murphy Lee, who delivered a tight and quick set of the crowd-pleasing jams before Lil Wayne‘s set capped off the night.
Photographer´s Notes:
This was a super high-energy set, with an appropriately large amount of unique challenges. Aside from half a dozen performers on stage to keep track of, there were only two spot lights lighting the 360º stage.
Overall, the set was a very high contrast shoot, with deep shadows even amid the swaths of bright spotlighting.
For this set, I concentrated mainly on Murphy Lee and Nelly, utilizing the Nikon 14-24mm and Nikon 24-70mm lenses for much of the set.
