Bluesy rock ‘n rollers The Black Crowes laid down a big set for their sold out show at the Pageant. With two songs and out, I was happy that the band started off with some lengthier jams and ISO 1600-friendly lighting for the f/2.8 zooms.
Photographer's Notes:
The Black Crowes' set was a pretty straight forward affair, and while the lighting started out pretty thin, the tour's lighting director kicked things up a notch soon into the first song for a haze-filled treatment with a tasteful mix of backlighting.
The band was set up relatively far back, so I shot this performance with the Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 and Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8.
The ground rules for this show were two songs, no flash.
