Galactic w/ Chali 2na @ the Pageant — 2008.02.17
There’s a thick haze inside the Pageant, and a little use of the olfactory senses immediately makes it clear that it’s not just the water hazers at work in the venue. In a sprawling two-hour set, New Orleans-based funk group Galactic brought grooving, feel good performance with special guest Chali 2na of Jurassic 5 fame.

Santa is on stage playing an electric guitar, there’s confetti stuck to my lens hood, Andrew Volpe is leading the crowd through a chorus of rocked out power pop, and I’m trying to figure out if the last song was about pterodactyls. That’s right, kids: Ludo is in town.
