Chris sure does put on a great show. I’ve seen him numerous times in concert in Soundgarden and solo.
I hope you do get to photograph Chris during the Scream tour. You take awesome pics.

Hey Esther, thanks. Chris put on a great show for this show, I wouldn’t mind photographing him again if his Scream tour comes by.

This pics are awesome! I was at the PR show in East Troy, WI. My seats were pretty decent but alas I was not in the pit.
Great job!
I’m hoping Chris will bring his “Scream” tour to Chicago. Crosses fingers.

Hey Chris, thanks for the detailed comments and your picks for this set. The lighting for Cornell´s set was pretty minimal, and I agree – including a few lights in the frame really helped add some reference elements for this set.

YO! Feel like I haven’t talked with you in forever. How’s it goin? Nice set! My pics in the first bunch is 3, 4, 7, and 9 [1 has nice emotion has well]. 3 is a great frame of another one of the band members and he’s in that nice power pose - I also like this one of him; both are great in that they fill the frame with him but aren’t far like a wide angle. 4 also has that nice rock star look, and you can’t really hate those lovely sparkling lights, now can you? 7 is great, but looking at the bottom set I think I like this one a little better; arm in the air and mic tilted make it a winner in my opinion! The final 3 I like are this , this , and this one . I can’t tell which one I love, so please don’t make me choose — the lights in many of these shots provide some really nice additions to the photos. Nice set of Cornell!

Hey Keath, thanks. Yes, he went al fresco this time, which was nice! The rock star sunglasses aren´t always very compelling in images, so we were lucky for this one.

Gah you blow me away Todd! I’ve said it before, but I love how all of your shots accurately depict the skin tone and have amazing WB, but still make you feel like you are at a show and not in the studio. Totally awesome; keep up the amazing work, I’m inspired everytime I see your work.

Hey Nathan, thanks very much for the feedback on this set. Skintones can definitely be tricky for some shows, especially if the lighting is variable.

At this venue, the spotlights are rather old, I think, as they flicker in both intensity and color temperature. This issue is made even more distinct at higher shutter speeds (above 1/250), and causes no end of headaches!
