For gigs like this, when the situation is highly limited (in this case by light and positioning), I find that gesture really plays a big part. Funnily enough, I shot José last month. :) I use a plugin called Crossroads, which talks to Flickr to pull images from a set or collection. Crossroads itself offers the option of using several different javascript plugins to display the images, and I'm using Highslide. I do need credentials to shoot, but the standard setup is guestlist in addition to a photo pass. The reason for this is that, depending on the show and venue, credentials by themselves do not always grant access.
