Tor: Yes, I do have a tendency to convert very poorly lit sets to b&w. Most of the time, the color combinations are very muddy and not very pleasing to see, so monochrome looks better. I'll post up an example if you like.

I actually added a dose of grain to all of the images in the last few sets. The film-like texture just seemed to be a good fit. And you're right, there's a very slight warm cast to the images. I also generally prefer to keep an image set consistent, either all in color or all b&w -- just a preference. Though, if only one or two images are presented out of context, changing it up is fine with me.

Wow, I must have missed your shot of Iggy Pop. That's great! Very envious you got to photograph the Stooges! They're a band I would love to cover.

Brad: Hey, thanks for your pick. There weren't too many instances were Ted Leo was standing still, but I managed to pick up this one when he was back near his amp, killing it. I'm sure he must have jumped around on the stage after a moment. Glad to hear this one works for you.

The sixth photo down, of Ted Leo soloing (don't know the file name, the link is http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2206/1547116101_f1e8b7d731_o.jpg) is maybe one of the best guitar solo photos of yours that I've seen. Kind of a perfect combination of motion and stillness.

I notice that you tend to B/W all your low light shots. Is that because of the added grain of ISO1600 (to make it seem like B/W film), or because the colored version looks weird?

I usually B/W shots as a last resort, when I was forced to shoot 1600ISO on the D70 (which looks terrible), but only for individual images in a set.

Example 1
Example 2
Example 3

Perhaps B/W'ing everything helps the consistency of a set. I'll give it a shot :) You seem to have some sort of sepia thing going on too?
