Dir en grey Icons

Recently a Dir en grey fan and graphic artist contacted me about making a set of graphics from images I shot of Japanese rock band Dir en grey. I gave her permission and, with a very quick turn around, here are the results below:

When I was hosting images on my own domain, the experience was quite insular, as the sets were displayed using an embedded Flash viewer and fairly inaccessible from searching. As such, Flickr and this site have meant a large increase in exposure, which is still something I am getting used to.

To their credit, the few Dir en grey fans who’ve contacted me about the images have been quite courteous and considerate about asking permission, which is something I greatly appeciate. I’m pleased to say the the above icons turned out quite well, too.
